Chris is a Toronto based editor with four recent world premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and television series work for Hulu, History (US), Bravo, CBC, CTV, Slice and Ovation. On the commercial side, Chris has edited flagship campaigns for Scotiabank, RBC and HSBC.
Recent film work includes the feature HYSTERIA, the debut feature by director Reem Morsi and the film EASY LAND, by Sanja Zivkovic, both part of the inaugural Telefilm Talent to Watch program. EASY LAND premiered at TIFF, VIFF, Palm Springs and FEST (Belgrade). The film was favourably reviewed by critics, with the Globe and Mail’s Barry Hertz stating the film “frequently touches greatness.”
Chris’ TV series work includes the Hulu original series HOLLY HOBBIE, the CTV comedy STOCK AND AWE, music documentary series ON THE RECORD and the history series CANADA: THE STORY OF US. He edited digital series for CBC’s dramas X COMPANY, THE NEXT STEP and LOST AND FOUND STUDIOS.
The film LUBA won multiple awards at the Canadian Film Fest in 2018 and earned Chris a Best Editing in Feature Film nomination at the Canadian Cinema Editors awards.
PORCUPINE LAKE, which premiered at TIFF in 2017, has made over 65 festival appearances around the world. Also premiering at TIFF was the feature documentary SILAS, executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way productions, which Chris came on board to complete. Chris’ short films CLEO, GOLDEN BOYS and THE SISTERS TOLCHINSKI have screened internationally in France, Brazil, Serbia, and throughout the United States.
Chris is a full member of the DGC, a 2015 alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre editors’ lab and has served as vice president of the Canadian Cinema Editors.
